black footwear

If there is one thing in my closet that I had to pick to wear everyday for the rest of my life, it would be a pair of black leather booties for sure. Black footwear in general is just so versatile and it easily adds extra coolness to any outfit, for any occasion. So lets discuss black shoes today!

I, for one, have another reason to love black footwear because my hair happens to be black, too! Oh wow. But as a blondie or brunette you can pull off black shoes any times as well, they truly are the all-rounders.

Here's my little black shoe collection. Some other sandals and big, long over-knee boots are missing here.

Do you recognize some of my shoes I had on in my older blog posts?

Below I also picked out 20 (!) cool black shoes all from the current Autumn Winter collection of different labels starting from 39EUR up to 370EUR. I might just got you covered for the must-buy shoes of FW 2013/14. You can see a lot of deep black leather going on here, some are patent, some are matt and some are just shiny glossy. Buckles and lace-ups are the key elements to look for in the shoes right now, they add a punky, masculine and strong appeal to any outfit you'd be sporting. Classic men's shoes are still very hot this season with a lot of bluchers and loafers here and there. On the other hand, some elements such as paillets, cut-outs and leather straps add more playfulness and femininity to the shoes.

Happy shopping.

miu miu noir sunglasses

When talking about memorable sunglasses, I bet the following scene pops out in your brain, the iconic Holly Golightly wearing her iconic Oliver Goldsmith shades. Breakfast at Tiffany's is indeed one of my favorite films of Audrey Hepburn, not only because the DVD was gifted to me as a birthday present, but also because of Audrey's pure nonchalance and playfulness that perfectly embodied a modern woman in the 60s. But as the title of this post already suggests, I've recently purchased a pair of miu miu "noir" sunglasses with "cherry" red lenses and here are the pictures I made. I love the tortoiseshell, the 40s vibe, the thin golden details about these sunnies.

pure transparency

(All images above: H&M)

There is something sensual about sheer clothing in womanswear. A see-through yet not completely unveiling blouse is, for instance, way sexier, if I might say so, than a bare cleavage. You probably have noticed it already, black chiffon skirts and transparent silk shirts were too popular last spring summer season.

But did you know that light-colored sheerness is coming up? Transparency's everywhere now, on sunglasses (see the sporty one above with multi-color-reflecting touch), shoe's heels, bags (clutches preferably) and of course, also on clothings.

Pair these airy  pieces with bold, masculine bottoms or jackets to compensate the fragile nature of sheerness. Those bleached and destroyed pants from H&M can add craziness to any outfit that might be a bit too "soft". At the end of the day, we are rulers of our own personal style, so go ahead and wear sheer fashion the way you like it best.

new purchases, old possessions

Pictures above showcasing my latest sale purchases: cos top that is yet to be unveiled; zara tweed blazer in military khaki green.
Some old but gold accessories which include the MMM for H&M silver candy wrapper clutch; the crazy and simplistic MMM for H&M key ring necklace.

The rest of the photos are merely some strange decorations, by strange I mean the plastic orchids. Im my defense here, I must state that I do have real orchids in the house that are blooming wonderfully.

Now back to the topic, winter sale is usually the best sale time of the year, but this season I did not score a lot of sale-deals, which probably has something to do with my ever so busy college life and the tight budget of mine. You may have noticed that I got a new camera that I carry around all the time, an interchangeable lense camera to be exact. And we know that cameras are not cheap.

Did you score something truly nice at sale? Let me know.

mar, marge, margiela

Lately I've been suffering under way too little sleep and a lot of stress. Yeah exams, big time. But those dark days are soon to be over! I just couldn't help, but post something on the blog today. I had to, it's been quite a while, isn't it?

This pair of Maison Martin Margiela pumps is my current hot love. I'm obsessed with a decent, understated good pair of nude pumps! The see-through wedge is quite confusing and make people wonder and check again. Not that I have already worn it, but I can assure you these shoes are some major head turners.

I have also been thinking of getting some more pieces from the collection, but rather something from the man collection. Basicly, over-sized clothing-that includes sweaters, shirts AND outerwear(!) is totally my thing. The fact that my height makes me look even higher and bigger and bulkier is part of the fun wearing XL-clothes you know?

How about the white leather shirt-like jacket? I saw it in real life-means not only online-and found the shape and its hugeness quite intimidating, but so cool at the same time. In addtion to that, I've laid my eyes on that man's shredded jeans jacket in S size, which looks like it is worn turned over and than got brutally shredded, ah sloppy-chic to the power of 10! I can't make up my mind yet wether or not I shall get the jacket. Till then, I just keep pretending I'm cool!

blood red nails

I love a good manicure (honestly who does not?). Getting the nails done is probably the most relaxing and affordable thing ever. The girl at the the nailsplace asked to me pick a color and I resisted all the hot/in trend shades like the neon pinks, moustards and greens and blues and went for a classic red red red. Recently I've watched a Youtube video about all the red shades there are. Isn't it interesting that the human eyeball is able to identify ten thousands of colors if not more? However I cannot tell what kinda red this OPI lacquer is. Is it a little pinkish? I've no idea. I'll just call it blood red (I know, I know, true blood is of a darker red).

By the way, to everyone who reads Chinese or does not, the book underneath is the "Norwegian Wood" by Haruki Murakami, an author loved by a dear friend, who happens to be the one that sent me this postcard.
