black footwear

If there is one thing in my closet that I had to pick to wear everyday for the rest of my life, it would be a pair of black leather booties for sure. Black footwear in general is just so versatile and it easily adds extra coolness to any outfit, for any occasion. So lets discuss black shoes today!

I, for one, have another reason to love black footwear because my hair happens to be black, too! Oh wow. But as a blondie or brunette you can pull off black shoes any times as well, they truly are the all-rounders.

I might just got you covered for the must-buy shoes of FW 2013/14. You can see a lot of deep black leather going on here, some are patent, some are matt and some are just shiny glossy. Buckles and lace-ups are the key elements to look for in the shoes right now, they add a punky, masculine and strong appeal to any outfit you'd be sporting. Classic men's shoes are still very hot this season with a lot of bluchers and loafers here and there. On the other hand, some elements such as paillets, cut-outs and leather straps add more playfulness and femininity to the shoes.

I think good fashion should be provocative.

What's the point of designing fashion when there is no new ideas to show and what's the point of wearing fashion when there's no personal appreciation for it? New ideas that no one has ever thought of are so very likely to get rejected by the majority, that they would label it as "too provocative".

We currently live in a world that is very fast in every aspect regardless if I'm talking about fashion or food or communication here. Like it or not, all white T-shirts are kind of similar, they are all  white and are mostly made of hundred percent cotton and have short sleeves. So what are people expecting from fashion? By people I mean those who have an unusually big interest in fashion and an eye so sharp, it'd make boring tailoring bleed. We are tired of seeing the same shirt, or skirt, or skort, or whatever you name it, over and over again, on lots of runways from North America to Europe, on lots of blogs from Lily to Marie.

Therefore good designers and bloggers are brainstorming the banana out of their brains every season (for the latter it's everyday) to come up with some new stuff that will be worth the excitement. After all, fashion needs a lot of passion and that's just my little thought while keeping up with the on-going New York fashion week and the soon-coming European highlights.

It's September, the back to school season and I am celebrating (not really) DARETODUIT's one year anniversary! Yay! Great! No honestly I should have posted a lot more. Let's just do better with this new beginning.

I wore a bra-like crop top that was too revealing for my taste so I wore a tailored blazer over it, before I decided to switch to a translucent knitted summer pullover that was featured in a collage I made in May.

Albertina palace is a museum located in Vienna. It's one of my favorite art museums in this city because of its broad collection of art pieces and its famous Prunksäle (ceremony rooms). Just look at those chandeliers and those magnificent walls decorated with leaf gold, I guess that might be rococo at its best.

salzburg for a day #one

Andrea, a very very dear friend of mine has been inviting me to visit her in Salzburg ever since she moved there almost two years ago to pursue higher education. And I, for I was somehow busy and our schedules rarely gave us both the time gap we needed, wasn't able to go to this city until just a week ago. 

If you've read my other posts, you'd probably know that I'm not a country-typ-of-girl. Big cities are my passion and I stand to that. However, Salzburg, a city that is significantly smaller than Vienna both in size and population, caught my heart instantly when I set foot on it for the very first time. To be honest here, Salzburg positively surprised me on so many levels. 

The city itself is beautiful, elegant and can be summarized in two words: "pastel dream". Why pastel you ask? Well because of the creamy soft colors all the buildings had. Unlike any other city, Salzburg has regulations for the facade colors, so they must be kept low-key. Seriously though, the only bright-colored house I've seen in the inner city must be the yellow natal house of Mozart (see the third picture from the end?). Other great must-visit places include the Grand Cathedral (the 6th and the the 15th picture), the Makartsteg Bridge (see the lock picture), the Mirabell Palace and loads and loads of good cafes and good restaurants.

Unfortunately I could not stay at Salzburg longer than one day and one night. The second part of my travel has yet to be uploaded. I hope you have gotten an impression of beautiful Salzburg and can come to see all the places in real. Until next time.
