salzburg for a day #one

Andrea, a very very dear friend of mine has been inviting me to visit her in Salzburg ever since she moved there almost two years ago to pursue higher education. And I, for I was somehow busy and our schedules rarely gave us both the time gap we needed, wasn't able to go to this city until just a week ago. 

If you've read my other posts, you'd probably know that I'm not a country-typ-of-girl. Big cities are my passion and I stand to that. However, Salzburg, a city that is significantly smaller than Vienna both in size and population, caught my heart instantly when I set foot on it for the very first time. To be honest here, Salzburg positively surprised me on so many levels. 

The city itself is beautiful, elegant and can be summarized in two words: "pastel dream". Why pastel you ask? Well because of the creamy soft colors all the buildings had. Unlike any other city, Salzburg has regulations for the facade colors, so they must be kept low-key. Seriously though, the only bright-colored house I've seen in the inner city must be the yellow natal house of Mozart (see the third picture from the end?). Other great must-visit places include the Grand Cathedral (the 6th and the the 15th picture), the Makartsteg Bridge (see the lock picture), the Mirabell Palace and loads and loads of good cafes and good restaurants.

Unfortunately I could not stay at Salzburg longer than one day and one night. The second part of my travel has yet to be uploaded. I hope you have gotten an impression of beautiful Salzburg and can come to see all the places in real. Until next time.

You see, I'm not one of those girls running around in sport shoes everyday. But once I did slip on a pair of white conserve I felt so free and light I don't wanna take them off anymore. There you have it, my comfortable converse moment with a high jump up in the air. J got the moves quite sharp, didn't she?

miu miu noir sunglasses

When talking about memorable sunglasses, I bet the following scene pops out in your brain, the iconic Holly Golightly wearing her iconic Oliver Goldsmith shades. Breakfast at Tiffany's is indeed one of my favorite films of Audrey Hepburn, not only because the DVD was gifted to me as a birthday present, but also because of Audrey's pure nonchalance and playfulness that perfectly embodied a modern woman in the 60s. But as the title of this post already suggests, I've recently purchased a pair of miu miu "noir" sunglasses with "cherry" red lenses and here are the pictures I made. I love the tortoiseshell, the 40s vibe, the thin golden details about these sunnies.

loosen it up

Hat: H&M, Top: H&M, Leggings: come on, you can find them everywhere

So I've been wearing eye-liners quite a lot lately and I love it. As a person with monolids, it's hard to do the eye-makeup sometimes because I haven't got a socket line on my eye. The good news are that cat-eyeliners are suitable on almost any eye shape and people without eye sockets tend to age a bit slowlier. Yay.

The photograph above was edited with my sister's bamboo pen tablet, which turned out to be way more useful than I thought it'd be. The backless top that I'm wearing in the picture is one of my favorite things at the moment. The viscose fabric is cooling and super comfortable for summer days. I've also noticed the big presence of black and white posts lately and I promise more colorful stuff is coming up. See you.
