the golden hall

The Golden Hall is such a famous place in Vienna, I'm sure all of you have heard of it. If not, the New Year's concert happens right there, has that given you a clue? Nontheless, that place of classic music on the world's highest level is becoming a karaoke room for anyone, who is willing to pay enough rent and other fees to throw any concerts they'd like. How do I know that? As a matter of fact I went to the Golden Hall of Wiener Musikverein to attend a wealthy business woman's solo concert celebrating the Chinese Moon Festival. Long story short, one song really touched my patriotic heart, but the rest of the songs were no more than mediocre and time-consuming. Maybe I'm a little too harsh at critisizing, neitherway I want you to know that I'm not pissed at the second picture, my sister actually took that picture for me and I tried to look seriously.

I double layered 2 blazers over eachother and felt so suited up, but still casual and comfortable with a gray Tee underneath. Black jeans and boots finished the look. Oh, and.. The architecture was mesmerizing.

skate park

I wore:
Top: borrowed
Skirt: the bottom from an old costume
Sandals: Zara, recent

There is something so trashy but youthful about skate parks, especially when it basically is coated in graffiti. This one is right next to my neighborhood so we took some pictures before we went to do some grocery-shopping.

Can you smell the sun heat out of these pictures? Reminiscent of summer '13.

salzburg for a day #two

Museum der Moderne is a contemporary art museum located high above the street on Moenchsberg, Salzburg. The building's reclangular shape cuts sharply into the nature on the hill, pointing at the ancient inner city. The clash of modernity and history looks a bit overwhelming, yet completely harmonious in an artistic way.

Several exhibitions were held in MdM that day we went to visit it. But the Alex Katz exhibition was the most impressive. His works reminded me of pop art and something digital. Everything was painted on huge canvases with exuberant bright colors, in simple, yet accurate lines. The people Alex Katz painted were rather stiff and sober, unlike his flowers which were more joyful and lively.

If you ever go to Salzburg, make sure to check out Museum der Moderne. They have changing exhibition whole year round, so make sure to look up at their website. Moreover, the architecture and the panorama view on top of Moenchsberg are definitely worth a visit.

black footwear

If there is one thing in my closet that I had to pick to wear everyday for the rest of my life, it would be a pair of black leather booties for sure. Black footwear in general is just so versatile and it easily adds extra coolness to any outfit, for any occasion. So lets discuss black shoes today!

I, for one, have another reason to love black footwear because my hair happens to be black, too! Oh wow. But as a blondie or brunette you can pull off black shoes any times as well, they truly are the all-rounders.

Here's my little black shoe collection. Some other sandals and big, long over-knee boots are missing here.

Do you recognize some of my shoes I had on in my older blog posts?

Below I also picked out 20 (!) cool black shoes all from the current Autumn Winter collection of different labels starting from 39EUR up to 370EUR. I might just got you covered for the must-buy shoes of FW 2013/14. You can see a lot of deep black leather going on here, some are patent, some are matt and some are just shiny glossy. Buckles and lace-ups are the key elements to look for in the shoes right now, they add a punky, masculine and strong appeal to any outfit you'd be sporting. Classic men's shoes are still very hot this season with a lot of bluchers and loafers here and there. On the other hand, some elements such as paillets, cut-outs and leather straps add more playfulness and femininity to the shoes.

Happy shopping.
